Mercedes Sales: Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz India has recorded its highest ever annual sales in India, performing brilliantly in the business year 2025-26. The company sold a total of 19,363 cars during this period, which is a new record. The main reasons behind this achievement are the increasing demand for luxury vehicles in the Indian market and the increasing interest of customers towards premium cars.
The beginning of 2026 is also strong
The company’s performance remains strong even in the first quarter of 2026. During this period, the company sold 5,131 units, which is 7% more as compared to 4,775 units in the same period last year. Customer demand for new and existing models remains constant.
Demand increased in sedan and SUV segment
According to the company, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB remains the best-selling luxury sedan in India. Apart from this, demand for models like Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Mercedes-Benz GLE has also increased. At the same time, the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class has also received good response from the customers.
Increasing share of electric vehicles
The share of electric vehicles (BEV) in the company’s top-end portfolio has reached 20%. Especially in the BEV segment above Rs 1.4 crore, a growth of 85% has been recorded. During this period, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV has emerged as the company’s best-selling electric car.
Preparations for expansion in new cities
Mercedes-Benz is working on expansion plans to further strengthen its presence in India. The company plans to open new sales and service centers in Visakhapatnam, Goa, Varanasi, Pune and Mumbai in the second quarter of 2026. Earlier, new luxury facilities have also been started in Bengaluru, Bhopal and Raipur.

According to the company’s MD and CEO Santosh Iyer, two new AMG cars will be launched in 2026. Apart from this, the company is very excited about the times to come due to the excellent response received by models like Mercedes-Maybach GLS, Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV.
