New Delhi . Argentina’s legendary player Lionel Messi, one of the biggest stars in the football world, has openly thanked India at the conclusion of his GOAT India Tour. Messi described the love, respect and hospitality he received in India as memorable and said that the experience here was special for him. The tour created tremendous excitement among football fans across the country.

Messi posted ‘Namaste’ to India on social media platform X and described his journey to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata as wonderful. He wrote that the kind of love and affection received during the entire tour is unforgettable. Messi expressed hope that the future of football in India will be bright.

Confluence of cricket and football in Delhi
On the last leg of the GOAT India Tour, Messi reached Jamnagar in Gujarat, where he visited Vantara Wildlife Conservation Centre. After this, ICC Chairman Jay Shah presented the jerseys of the Indian cricket team to Messi, Rodrigo de Paul and Luis Suarez at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Messi was given jersey number 10, Suarez was given number nine and De Paul was given number seven. Messi was also given a special autographed cricket bat and an invitation to the upcoming T20 World Cup.
