Messi expected to meet Donald Trump at White House
Inter Miami CF will visit the White House in March to celebrate their 2025 MLS Cup triumph, with Argentine superstar Lionel Messi expected to attend.
The visit is expected to mark a meeting between the football legend and US President Donald Trump.
The Miami Herald cited an unnamed team source saying “everyone” from Inter Miami plans to attend the ceremony hosted by US President.
The visit will be high-profile as Messi has been at the centre of US football scene ever since he joined Inter Miami.
The visit is scheduled two days before the club faces D.C. United in the US capital on March 7.
Previously, the 38-year-old was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former president Joe Biden in January 2025.
Messi’s meeting with Trump comes few weeks after Portugese player Cristiano Ronaldo met the presient in 2025.
The two football legends are set to play their reportedly last world cup in US this year hoping to bow out with a big bang.
