External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and discussed ways to deepen the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. Jaishankar sent greetings to Albanese on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this meeting. The Foreign Minister is on an official visit to Australia from November 3 to 7. Jaishankar said, “Discussed education, technology, agriculture and people-to-people ties. Also exchanged views on Indo-Pacific and global issues.'' The Foreign Minister also met Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the UAE. Jaishankar wrote on 'X', “It was a good meeting with my friend Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of UAE, in Canberra today.
I appreciate his guidance to deepen the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.'' Earlier, Jaishankar also met Peter Dutton, leader of the Liberal Party in Australia. After meeting Dutton, Jaishankar said, “Exchanged common views on global issues.” Appreciate his support for our bilateral relations.
