Met Gala 2026 set to light up New York

The world’s biggest fashion event is ready to return in spectacular style as celebrities, designers, musicians, athletes, and cultural icons gather in New York for the highly anticipated Met Gala 2026.

Held annually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the glamorous event is considered the “Super Bowl of fashion” and serves as a major fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Institute. The event is once again being overseen by longtime Met Gala chair Anna Wintour, the influential fashion powerhouse who has managed the gala since the mid-1990s. Every guest invitation reportedly requires her personal approval, adding to the exclusivity of the event.

Although the public cannot enter the event itself, millions of viewers worldwide will watch the celebrity arrivals live through digital broadcasts and social media streams.

This year’s Met Gala also arrives alongside renewed interest in the fashion industry thanks to the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, a sequel to the beloved fashion film loosely inspired by Anna Wintour’s influence in the magazine world.
