Tech giant Meta has launched its new Smart Glasses, which come with advanced AI features and powerful hardware. These smart glasses have features like 12MP camera, 6 microphone system and 3K video recording, so that users can easily capture photos and videos and get better audio experience.

These smart glasses are not just glasses but a smart device, which allows listening to music, making calls, sending messages and interacting with AI assistants. Price and availability
The price of the new Meta Smart Glasses has been kept at $499 (approximately ₹ 41,500). Pre-orders will begin March 31 in the US, while sales will be available April 14 at Ray-Ban stores, the official website, and retail outlets like LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut. Apart from this, the company says that these smart glasses will also be launched soon in UK, Canada, Australia, Europe and UAE, while their availability in India is likely to happen by the end of this year.

The new lineup includes two models: Ray-Ban Meta Blazer Optics (Gen 2) and Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2), which are specifically designed for prescription users.

The new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses have been specifically designed with comfort and customization in mind. These have features like slim frame design, interchangeable nose pads, adjustable temple tips and 10° extra flexible hinge, making them easy and comfortable to wear for long hours. Additionally, they support a variety of lens types, such as single vision, progressive, and transitions lenses, which are suitable for both indoor and outdoor conditions.

The smart glasses include a 12MP camera, 3K video recording and 6 microphone system, which provide photo-video capture and better calling experience. Users can listen to music and podcasts (Spotify, Amazon Music), send calls and messages, and control smart features through voice commands. The new Action Button lets users instantly capture a photo or video and access Meta AI.

Meta AI features are able to respond, answer questions and help with tasks based on the user’s perspective. Upcoming AI updates include Nutrition Tracking, which provides health insights by logging meals via voice or photos. Apart from this, WhatsApp Summary feature will provide a short summary of the chat, Neural Handwriting will allow messages to be written by fingers, and Display Recording feature will allow real-world footage, screen view and audio to be recorded in video. The Navigation feature will guide the user directly to the glasses.

The new smart glasses also include some stylish color options, such as Shiny Transparent Gray (Wayfarer), Shiny Transparent Peach (Skyler) and Matte Transparent Peach (Headliner), from which users can choose as per their choice.
