Method of train ticket booking changed… IRCTC ID will be blocked if shortcut is adopted

New Delhi. Adopting shortcuts during online train ticket booking may get your IRCTC ID blocked. This action can be taken if the booking process is completed ahead of time. IRCTC’s new technology will detect valid and invalid customers at the speed of typing during ticket booking. With this strictness, the chances of the general public getting confirmed tickets will increase by 40 percent.

A senior official of the Railway Board said that the Railways has implemented a new AI predator system (AI software) in online ticket booking. The purpose of this new technology is to crack down on the brokers who take confirmed tickets by infiltrating the IRCTC website with the help of illegal software.

  • The AI based system will identify during the booking process whether the ticket is being booked by a human being or by some software. There is a need to be cautious of railway passengers who adopt smart tricks (cut-paste) while booking tickets. Considering such consumers as suspicious, the Railway system can block the user ID (account). If a common consumer adds or deletes names in bulk at night, he will come under the influence of AI.

Do not fill the form in less time

Railway’s algorithm measures typing speed. The system will red flag the user if the details of five passengers (name, age, gender etc.) are filled in less than 4.2 seconds.

Do not login more than five times in half an hour

An official said, if consumers login or logout more than five times in half an hour from one ID, then such account will be banned for 24 hours. Apart from this the IP address and mobile number should be in the same region. If both are different then the transaction will stop midway. 2.8 lakh such accounts have been blocked in a month.
