Metro operations affected on Delhi Metro's Red Line, DMRC explains reason

Metro operations are affected due to technical glitches on the Red Line, the oldest corridor of Delhi Metro. Due to this, metro is running slowly between Dilshad Garden and Shastri Park. Due to this, passengers faced problems in commuting and during peak hours it took more time for passengers to reach their destination.

This problem has been there since around 9 am in the morning. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has not yet clarified what kind of technical fault is occurring on the Red Line corridor. DMRC says that employees are trying to resolve the technical problem.

Metro operations affected due to cable damage

This is the third consecutive day when metro operations on any corridor of Delhi Metro have been affected. First of all, on Sunday, an attempt was made to steal the cable of the signal system of the metro track between Welcome and Seelampur on the Red Line itself. Due to this, the operation of the metro was affected due to damage to the cable.

Service affected due to technical fault at red light

After this, yesterday on Monday such an incident happened on the Yellow Line between Haiderpur Badli Mode and Jahangirpuri. Due to this, operations on the Yellow Line were affected throughout the day. The signal cable was repaired after metro operations stopped at night. After that, metro operations on the Yellow Line are running normally today. Meanwhile, today there was a technical fault at the red light.
