MG Majestor Bookings Open: New 5-5-5 Ownership Plan Announced

As the launch of its new flagship SUV draws closer, JSW MG Motor India is rolling out an aggressive ownership package to attract buyers in the premium segment. The automaker has officially announced a new 5-5-5 Complete Peace of Mind programme for the upcoming MG Majestor. This specific ownership package is being offered as a standard, unified benefit exclusively to the first 3,000 customers who pre reserve the vehicle.

Pre bookings for the Majestor are currently open at a token amount of Rs 41,000 across company dealerships and the official website. While the full price reveal is slated for April 2026, followed by showroom displays, test drives, and deliveries starting in May, the brand is using this service package to build early confidence. The goal is to secure a solid order book from buyers who are considering putting down their money before even test driving the new vehicle.

Decoding The 5-5-5 Service Package

Unlike standalone extended warranty options that buyers usually have to purchase separately at the time of delivery, this new programme bundles three major ownership elements together from day one.

First, it includes a five-year warranty with no kilometre limit. Standard warranties in this segment often cap out at 1,00,000 kilometres. For buyers who do a lot of interstate highway driving or use their full-size SUVs for extensive cross country road trips, an unlimited mileage warranty removes the constant anxiety of hitting a mileage limit too early.

Second, the package offers five years of free roadside assistance, also with unlimited kilometres. This means nationwide breakdown support is covered for half a decade. This is a highly critical factor for an SUV that is actively marketed for its off road and adventure capabilities.

Third, the plan covers the labour cost for the first five periodic maintenance services. While owners will still have to pay for regular consumables like engine oil, coolant, and filters during these scheduled visits, waiving the labour charges significantly brings down the routine service expenditure during the crucial early years of ownership.

Taking The Sting Out Of Maintenance

The logic behind introducing this structured programme is very straightforward. The Majestor is entering the highly competitive large SUV space where buyers expect long term reliability and highly predictable running costs.

Large diesel SUVs have complex powertrains and heavy-duty components, which can sometimes translate to expensive repair bills outside a standard warranty. By standardising this comprehensive package for early adopters, the automaker is attempting to directly address concerns about the long-term upkeep of a new model. The brand stated that the initiative is designed to offer structured financial predictability from the outset, reflecting confidence in how the vehicle has been engineered for local conditions.

Serious Diesel Power Under The Hood

The Majestor itself is positioned as a heavy duty, rugged offering to take on established rivals like the Toyota Fortuner. It is powered by a 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and a massive 478.5 Nm of torque. This motor is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The SUV will be offered in both 2WD and advanced 4WD configurations. To back up its off-road claims, the 4WD version features segment first triple differential locks covering the front, rear, and centre.

It also gets 10 specific terrain modes, a dedicated crawl control system for tricky inclines, 219 mm of ground clearance, and an impressive water wading depth of 810 mm. Alongside this mechanical hardware, it features Level 2 ADAS for highway safety.

With prices expected to range between Rs 38 lakh and Rs 45 lakh ex showroom, the Majestor is aiming for buyers who want both serious mechanical hardware and modern tech. Throwing in the comprehensive service package makes it an easier pill to swallow for those first 3,000 early birds.
