It’s a sad and gloomy day for music fans across the globe. Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, the last of the legends, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. She succumbed to cardiac arrest. On Saturday, her granddaughter had released a statement saying that her grandmother, Asha Bhosle, suffered chest congestion and was taken to the hospital. As per the doctor, Asha Bhosle had her meal with family and post that, she felt uneasy and was rushed to the hospital, but couldn’t make it. Since then, tributes have been pouring in for Asha Bhosle, with industrialists, PM Modi, the President of India, cricketers and celebs mourning her demise.

On Sunday, cricket fans were eagerly awaiting the biggest IPL 2026 clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Apart from the game, fans are loving the face-off between batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, known for their long-standing friendship.

When the teams took the field, players from both sides were seen wearing black armbands as a mark of respect for Asha Bhosle. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya walked out for the toss wearing a black armband and won it, opting to field against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. MI decided to bowl first.

Several videos have gone viral on social media, and celebs watching the match at Wankhede are enjoying their time. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Ibrahim Ali Khan were spotted in Mumbai Indians jerseys.

A clip shows Kareena Kapoor shouting and talking rudely with her staff and manager. This incident hasn’t gone down well with netizens.

“We’re going to bowl first. Looks like a good track. We played the first game on the other pitch; this looks similar. It’s always good to bat second here. I think it’s a big game. Just want to come out and play our best cricket, do the things we’ve spoken about in the meetings, and just enjoy the sport. We requested good wickets, and we’ve been getting them. As long as you land the ball right as a bowler and play the right shots as a batter, you’re in the game,” Hardik Pandya said during the toss.

Meanwhile, RCB fans are rejoicing after winning against the Mumbai Indians.
