RCB needed 18 runs from the last over to win. All eyes and hopes were on De Klerk. Harmanpreet Kaur handed over the last over to Nat Syver Brunt. The first two balls were dot balls, which tipped the balance in Mumbai’s favour, but then de Klerk hit two sixes and two fours off four consecutive balls to turn the match in RCB’s favour. De Klerk scored an unbeaten 63 off 44 balls with seven fours and two sixes.

RCB’s innings was shaky

RCB’s run chase started well, but then faltered. At one point, half of RCB’s team was bowled out for 65 runs. Clarke then put on a sixth-wicket half-century partnership with Arundhati Reddy (20) to revive the innings and pave the way for victory. Opener Grace Harris scored 25 runs and Smriti Mandhana scored 18 runs for RCB. Nicola Carey and Amelia Kerr took two wickets each for Mumbai.
