MI vs SRH: Storm of Travis Head and Clausen, Sunrisers Hyderabad hit six wins by defeating Mumbai India

Mumbai. Thanks to the explosive batting of Travis Head (76) and Heinrich Klaasen (65 not out), Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by six wickets with eight balls remaining in the 41st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday. This is Hyderabad’s sixth win in the tournament and Mumbai Indians’ sixth defeat. Chasing the target of 244 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad got a good start from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Both the batsmen displayed explosive batting and added 129 runs for the first wicket.

In the ninth over, M Ghazanfar broke this partnership by dismissing Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek Sharma scored 45 runs in 24 balls hitting three fours and four sixes. Ghazanfar also dismissed Ishan Kishan (0) on the very next ball of the same over. In the next over, Hardik Pandya brought Mumbai back into the match by dismissing Travis Head. But they failed to take advantage of it.

Travis Head played an inning of 76 runs in 30 balls, hitting four fours and eight sixes. In the 17th over, Nitish Kumar Reddy was out as the fourth wicket (21) in 17 balls. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 249 runs for four wickets in 18.4 overs and won the match by six wickets. Salil Arora hit the winning six off Hardik. Heinrich Klaasen played an unbeaten inning of 65 runs in 30 balls, hitting seven fours and four sixes.

Salil Arora scored unbeaten 30 runs in 10 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes. M Ghazanfar took two wickets for Mumbai Indians. Hardik Pandya and Trent Boult dismissed one batsman each. Earlier today, on the basis of the explosive batting of Ryan Rickleton (123 not out), Will Jacques (46) and Hardik Pandya (31), Mumbai Indians scored a huge score of 243 runs for five wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat first. Coming to bat, Mumbai’s opening pair of Will Jacques and Ryan Rickleton gave a good start to their team by adding 93 runs for the first wicket. Nitish Kumar Reddy ended this partnership by dismissing Will Jacques in the eighth over. Will Jacques played an inning of 46 runs in 22 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes.

In the very next over, Ishan Malinga made Suryakumar Yadav (five) his victim. Naman Dheer scored 22 runs in 17 balls with the help of three fours. He was dismissed by Prafulla Hinge. Meanwhile, Ryan Rickleton completed his century in 44 balls. Which is the fastest century scored by Mumbai Indians. Shakib Hussain caught Hardik on the very first ball of the 19th over.

Hardik Pandya scored (31) runs in 15 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. Tilak Verma (seven) became the victim of Hinge in the last over. Mumbai Indians scored a huge score of 243 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ryan Rickleton played an unbeaten inning of 123 runs hitting 55 balls, 10 fours and eight sixes. Prafulla Hinge took two wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Ishan Malinga, Saqib Hussain and Nitish Kumar Reddy dismissed one batsman each.
