Hyderabad-born Satya Nadella, 58, called it an important opportunity for India to develop solutions at the societal level using AI. He said developers in India are already using GitHub, Azure and Microsoft’s new AI platforms for advanced projects that were earlier limited only to large research labs.

He said, Microsoft is investing extensively in this ecosystem so that developers – especially developers from India, can create next generation applications. Applications that can seamlessly integrate with existing data and systems used by businesses.
