This step has been taken to stabilize the global energy market, as crude oil prices have reached above $ 100 per barrel due to the war in the Middle East.

This relaxation was given because there has been a sharp rise in oil prices due to war and supply disruption. Supply has also been affected by Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important maritime oil routes.

According to the US Treasury Department, this temporary license allows the delivery and sale of Russian crude oil and petroleum products that were loaded into ships by March 12. This permission will remain in effect till midnight on April 11, Washington time.
