Middle East Crisis: Orgy of Iranian attack in Kuwait, painful death of Indian employee; 5 Indians injured by ballistic missile debris in UAE too

The ongoing fierce war in the Middle East is now becoming a crisis for Indian citizens. On Monday, March 30, Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity confirmed a very sad news. An Indian employee has lost his life in a missile attack by Iran on a power and water desalination plant in Kuwait. The attack was so severe that the plant’s service building and surrounding infrastructure suffered massive damage. This great war that broke out in the Gulf countries is now engulfing innocent foreign workers, causing a wave of grief and anger at the global level. ‘Iranian aggression’ on Kuwait’s power plant. Kuwait’s Electricity Ministry spokesperson Fatima Abbas Johar Hayat issued an official statement saying that an important power and water purification plant of the country was targeted under Iranian aggression. An Indian laborer posted on duty there died in this attack. The spokesperson has termed this incident as an attack on the sovereignty of Kuwait. It is worth noting that since Sunday night, there has been power outage in Tehran and surrounding areas due to air strikes, due to which the situation has become even more tense. Missile debris fell in UAE, 5 Indian citizens injured. The crisis is not limited to Kuwait only, Indian citizens in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are also burning in the fire of this war. The UAE’s air defense system shot down an Iranian ballistic missile in the air, but its debris fell near ‘Khalifa Economic Zone, Abu Dhabi’ (KEZAD). Five Indian citizens have been injured after being hit by this debris. Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed the injuries and appealed to the public not to pay heed to rumours. Even in earlier attacks, one Indian and one Pakistani citizen have lost their lives. Donald Trump’s warning and call for ground attack US President Donald Trump, taking a tough stance on this crisis, had already warned that if Iran does not come to the table for a peace deal, its power stations will be completely destroyed. Meanwhile, murmurs of a ground operation have intensified with the arrival of a warship with 3,500 additional US troops in the area. Speaker of Iran’s Parliament Mohammad Baghar Ghalibaf has also hit back and said that any American ground action will be responded to with full force. Pakistan’s efforts to mediate for peace: Amidst the increasing global tension and the crumbling economy, Pakistan has offered to become a peace envoy. After a key meeting in Islamabad with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey, Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said he was ready to hold ‘meaningful talks’ between Washington and Tehran. Countries around the world are hoping that a diplomatic solution will be found through this quadrilateral summit, so that more innocent lives can be saved.
