Middle East Tension: America’s big military operation, air strikes on about 140 targets of Iran; Iran targeted Gulf countries in retaliation

Dubai. Tension has once again increased in the Middle East. The US military said on Sunday that it had launched an attack near Iran. It has completed this phase of its recent military campaign by carrying out air strikes on 140 targets. According to the US military, the attacks were aimed at weakening Iran’s capabilities that could be used to target civilian ships and commercial shipping passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Missile and drone bases were targeted

The US Army’s Central Command (CENTCOM) said missile and drone launch sites, ammunition stores, communications equipment and other military installations were targeted during the attacks.

According to CENTCOM, this action was taken with the aim of maintaining maritime security in the region and ensuring the safe movement of commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran retaliated

After American action, Iran took retaliatory measures on Sunday morning. Attacks were carried out targeting Bahrain, Qatar and United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, there is no official description of the damage or casualties caused by these attacks in the available information.
