Price of dry fruits broke all records! Pistachio reached ₹2300 per kg, dates and raisins also became expensive
Dry Fruit Market Update: The impact of the ongoing war between Iran, Israel and America in West Asia is also visible on dry fruits. The biggest impact has been on the import of dry fruits and export of rice. There has been a sharp rise in the prices of dry fruits. Dry fruits coming from Iran and Afghanistan are not arriving due to which the prices of things like almonds, pistachios, figs and dates have increased.
Their demand is likely to increase further during the wedding season starting from April 19, which will put further pressure on the pockets of common buyers. Green pistachio, which was priced at Rs 1,600, became costlier by Rs 600 to 700 and reached Rs 2,200 to Rs 2,300 per kg. At the same time, dodi pistachio, which was selling at Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,100, has also reached Rs 1,300 per kg. Gradually the war is beginning to affect everything.
Dates increased by Rs 20 per kg
According to traders, the prices of almonds, pistachios, pistachio magaj, figs, dates and almonds have already increased by 10 to 15 per cent. There is a possibility of their demand increasing with the beginning of the wedding season, due to which the prices may rise further. The rupee has weakened due to the roar of the dollar. This has had the biggest impact on imported almonds.

At present, depending on the quality, almonds are being sold in bulk at Rs 700 to Rs 1,000 per kg, which are being sold at a higher price in Chillar. Due to this, it is becoming expensive for people to eat dry fruits. Whereas in Anjeer, the price of small goods is running at Rs 700 to Rs 1,000, while the price of extra bold premium goods is running at Rs 1,700 to 2,000 per kg.

Expensive even after arrival of new varieties
New varieties have arrived in the market but initially the prices had decreased by Rs 50 but after this the prices have increased again. Kissimmee, which used to cost Rs 200 per kg till a year ago, has now reached Rs 400 to Rs 450 per kg and is giving a severe inflation shock to the people.
In this, the price of light goods is being said to be Rs 300 to 350 and the premium price is Rs 550 to 600 per kg. At the same time, black dates, which were selling at Rs 150 per kg in bulk, have also increased by Rs 20 to reach Rs 170 per kg.
