When the syrup becomes a little sticky, add some cardamom powder and a few drops of rose water to it. Keep it aside to cool. Step 2: Preparation of Kunafa Layer Take the Kunafa Vermicelli in a large bowl and break them into small pieces with your hands. Now add melted butter to it and mix well so that every vermicelli gets coated with butter. Step 3: Make the creamy filling. Mix milk and cornflour well in a vessel and cook till it thickens. When this mixture becomes thick, add cream cheese or mozzarella cheese to it. Stir it till it gets creamy texture and then turn off the flame. Step 4: Baking or pan cooking method. Grease a baking dish or non-stick pan with butter. Spread half the amount of vermicelli in an even layer and press it lightly. Now spread the prepared cheese mixture over it. Finally, cover the cheese layer completely with the remaining vermicelli. Step 5: Final touch and garnishing. Bake it in the oven at 180°C. Bake for 20-25 minutes or cover the pan on low flame until golden on both sides. After cooking, pour cold syrup over it and sprinkle finely chopped pistachios. Your hot Dubai Special Kunafa is ready
