The video of Mike Fincke doing Bihu dance in space wearing Gamosa around his neck is becoming increasingly viral on social media these days. This is not the first time that Mike Finke has performed Bihu in space. Even before this, he had done this during one of his old missions. However, clear information about when this video that went viral recently was recorded has not been revealed.

Who is Mike Fincke?

E. Michael Fincke was selected as an astronaut by NASA in the year 1996. Finke, a resident of Pennsylvania, has traveled to space three times so far – on Expedition 9 in 2004, Expedition 18 in 2009 and under the STS-134 mission in 2011. On August 1, 2025, he left for the space station for the fourth time with NASA’s SpaceX Crew-11 mission, where he played the role of pilot. While on the space station, he also served as flight engineer and commander of Expedition 73/74. The mission, which lasted more than five months, ended with a safe landing in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego on January 15, 2026.
