Millie Bobby Brown has shifted her focus from acting after the success of Stranger Things and landing among Hollywood’s highest-paid stars.
On Saturday, March 14, the 22-year-old British actress and film producer took to her Instagram to share an exciting update with her 72.3 million followers about a new project that appears to be close to her heart.
In the now-viral post, Brown revealed that she hosted an evening dedicated to highlighting the importance of rescuing dogs.
“Last night we hosted the first annual gala for my dog rescue. It was an incredible evening filled with community, compassion, and purpose,” she captioned the post.
The Enola Holmes star added, “Most importantly, we raised awareness for rescue dogs and the importance of second chances. This mission has always been rooted in love and continues as we work to find every dog the furever home they deserve.”
Accompanying the caption was a carousel of photos from the special event, where Brown was seen alongside her husband of nearly two years, Jake Bongiovi.
Donning a floral dress, the Damsel actress was also seen kissing one of the dogs, while another snap showed her addressing attendees from behind a podium.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the world’s largest animal rights organisation, also applauded the actress for raising awareness.
“Congratulations on your first gala! Every rescue dog has a heart full of love waiting to be shared. Thank you for helping these amazing animals find the homes they deserve,” the organisation wrote.
