Mini Mathur dissed Alia Bhatt’s hosting skills? TV host clarifies her comment
Alia Bhatt might be a phenomenal actress and producer, but when it comes to her hosting skills, not everyone is convinced. Alia recently showed off her hosting skills along with comedian Zakir Khan at the SCREEN awards. Her hosting started a debate on social media, with many claiming that she not only lacked confidence and humor but was also better off without hosting duties in the future.
A content creator also jumped into the debate and wrote on social media questioning why actors and actresses are considered for hosting award shows and not those who are anchors. She also asked why Indian award shows can’t have professional anchors and hosts like the West. Surprisingly, Mini Mathur took to the comments section and wrote, “Thank you. Someone finally said it.”

Mini clarifies
Mini’s comments left social media divided with many slamming her for throwing shade at Alia Bhatt. However, Mini has now clarified her stance and how she “loves Alia Bhatt.” Mini spoke to HT and said that she agreed with the influencer’s point-of-view about showmakers bringing actors onboard for hosting and dissing them for falling short of expectations later.

Mini “loves” Alia
“To just create stories out of nothing is what the internet does. I will tell you why I commented… the creator had an interesting take on why award shows insist on using actors as hosts and then later complain about them falling short of their “expectations”. It is not their main skill set so why the expectations? It’s like asking a host to act at gunpoint. I only commented on that,” the former Indian Idol host told HT.
Mini not only praised Alia but added that she hasn’t even seen the particular show the ongoing debate is about. “It is all nonsense. I love Alia. On top of this, I have not even seen the show these people are talking about on the internet,” she clarified.
