Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana: If you do animal husbandry or want to start a dairy business, then this is a good opportunity for you. Under the ‘Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’ of the Uttar Pradesh government, financial assistance is being provided to farmers and cattle farmers to set up a dairy unit of 10 cows. The main objective of this scheme is to increase employment in rural areas, increase the income of cattle farmers and strengthen the dairy industry.

What is Mini Nandini Krishak Samridhi Yojana?

Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to cattle farmers to start dairy of 10 indigenous and high quality cows. Subsidy will be given up to 50 percent of the total cost of setting up a dairy unit. This will reduce the financial burden on cattle farmers and they will be able to easily start their dairy business. However, a beneficiary will get maximum assistance of only Rs 11.80 lakh.

Which breeds of cows will get benefit?

The benefit of the scheme will be given only on cows of selected indigenous breeds. These include Gir, Sahiwal and Tharparkar breeds.

Under the Mini Nandini Krishak Samridhi Yojana, a maximum grant of ₹ 11.80 lakh will be provided to the eligible cowherds for setting up a dairy unit of 10 indigenous improved breed cows.

Women will be given priority

Special attention has been paid to increasing the participation of women in this scheme. The government has decided that 50 percent of the total selected beneficiaries will be given priority to women. With this, rural women will get self-employment opportunities and they will be able to become financially self-reliant.
