Ministry of Mines to Organise National DMF Summit 2026 in Delhi
The Ministry of Mines will organise the National District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Summit 2026 on March 23–24 at the SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi.
The event, titled “Effective Utilisation of District Mineral Funds for ADP/ABP Areas”will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy in the presence of Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey and Secretary Piyush Goyal.
The Summit aims to strengthen coordination between governments and identify policy reforms for better utilisation of DMF funds in mining-affected districts, particularly in Aspirational District Programme (ADP) and Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) areas. Senior officials from Central Ministries, State Governments, District Administrations, NITI Aayog, and other stakeholders will deliberate on challenges, best practices, and reforms related to DMF planning, implementation, and monitoring.
Ahead of the Summit, the Ministry conducted extensive consultations with States and districts. Inputs gathered from 306 DMF districts and NITI Aayog were compiled into a Comprehensive Final Note, which will serve as the reference document for discussions.
The Summit will feature presentations by State representatives, NITI Aayog, and BiSAG-N, focusing on governance, transparency, convergence, impact assessment, and performance. On the sidelines, a DMF Exhibition will showcase successful projects funded through DMF resources across sectors such as health, nutrition, water supply, education, skill development, livelihoods, renewable energy, and infrastructure.
The Ministry expects the Summit to build consensus on reform priorities, enhance convergence with national development programmes, and strengthen the effective utilisation of DMF funds for sustainable and inclusive growth in mining-affected regions.
