Miracle of nature or coincidence? The same hospital where Lata Didi died, Asha Bhosle breathed her last.

Mumbai: Another shining star of the music world became silent forever. The queen of tunes, Asha Bhosle, is no more with us. On Sunday, April 12, 2026, he breathed his last at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. But amid this sad news, some such things have come to light which everyone is surprised to know. Asha Tai’s demise has refreshed the memories of her elder sister and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, as there are striking similarities in the manner in which these two great sisters passed away.

That ‘strange’ connection of death

The coincidence in the demise of Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar really seems to be a miracle of nature. The first similarity is the day – Asha Bhosle said goodbye to the world on Sunday, and in the year 2022, Lata Didi died (6 February) also on the same Sunday. Not only this, both the sisters took their last breath at the age of 92. Is it just a coincidence or something else, that the journey of both their lives came to a halt at the same stop.

Same hospital and same place of farewell

Surprisingly, both the sisters breathed their last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Asha Tai also bid farewell from the same hospital where Lata Didi was bid farewell. The similarities don’t end there; Just as Lata Mangeshkar was cremated with full state honors at Mumbai’s historic Shivaji Park, similarly Asha Bhosle will also be given a final farewell there. As if the fates of the two sisters were inextricably linked.

Mountain of struggles hidden behind the tunes

As golden as Asha Bhosle’s career was, her personal life was equally full of challenges and sorrows. He immortalized thousands of songs with his voice and received honors like Dadasaheb Phalke, National Award as well as Padma Vibhushan. But in his personal life he suffered the deep pain of losing his loved ones. She had two marriages—first to Ganpatrao Bhosle and second to famous musician RD Burman (Pancham Da). The darkest phase of his life was when he lost his son to cancer and his daughter to suicide.

At present, Bollywood and its millions of fans are in deep shock due to the demise of Asha Tai. According to the information received from the family, his last rites will be performed tomorrow i.e. on 13th April.
