‘Mirzapur’ actor Rajesh Tailang expressed grief over the demise of his mother.

Mumbai: Actor Rajesh Tailang is saddened by the passing of his mother. On Wednesday, the actor shared an old picture of his mother on his Instagram, and informed his followers about her demise.

He wrote in the caption, “Whoever brought you into this world has left this world today. Mother is no more.”

The actor is best known for his work in the International Emmy-winning streaming show ‘Delhi Crime’. He started acting at an early age and was associated with theater before entering screen roles. Over the years, he has earned a name for playing grounded, realistic characters rather than commercial lead roles. He gained greater recognition by playing the role of Inspector Bhupendra Singh in the Netflix series ‘Delhi Crime’, which won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series. His performance was known for its restraint and genuineness.

He has also been seen in series like ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Bandish Bandits’, further strengthening his presence in the streaming space. In films, he has worked in projects like ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ and ‘Mukkabaaz’. The actor is known for disciplined performances and depth of character, Rajesh Tailang remains a reliable supporting actor in today’s Indian cinema and OTT content.

Earlier, while speaking to IANS during the promotions of ‘Delhi Crime’, the actor had said that he wanted to do something outside the scope of the do-gooder characters he usually plays.

Apart from his gray shades character in another hit show ‘Mirzapur’, the actor has also played white characters very well.

Talking about such characters, he had earlier told IANS, “Now I am a bit bored, so I am doing something different. I have also done comedy and doing negative characters, but yes, but at times I feel it is more difficult to do positive characters because it is more difficult to maintain interest in the character.”

In the show, Rajesh is playing the role of Inspector Bhupendra Singh. In ‘Delhi Crime’, Shefali is playing the role of Vartika Chaturvedi, who is a sharp police officer. She leads her team in a deep investigation under public and political pressure.
