Mishi Khan defends Rajab Butt’s lavish wedding amid criticism
Mishi Khan, a renowned Pakistani actress and television host, took to Instagram to defend YouTuber Rajab Butt, who had been facing backlash over his lavish wedding.
In the video, she addressed the criticism surrounding the wedding, particularly the extravagant spending involved.
Mishi stated that while some people had been criticizing Rajab Butt for his spending, claiming he could have used the money for charity, she reminded them that he has indeed been involved in charitable activities.
She explained that extravagant weddings, especially in Punjab, often involve such displays of wealth as part of their cultural celebrations.
She further pointed out that the money spent on the wedding was Rajab’s own, and he had every right to spend it as he saw fit. Mishi also criticized those who criticize others while contributing nothing to charity themselves.
She mentioned that many people who point fingers at Rajab Butt are often silent about individuals making money through unethical means. In particular, she addressed the controversy over a lion cub that Rajab was gifted, clarifying that he had not kept the animal at home and should be given time to manage the legal aspects of such a gift.
Mishi Khan is known for her remarkable performances in shows such as Uroosa, Ajaib Ghar, Boota from Toba Tek Singh, Khala Khairanand When Pardon Plays.
She has been a prominent figure on K2 TV, hosting the morning show for 15 years. Apart from her acting career, Mishi is recognized for her candid views on social and political issues, frequently sharing her perspectives on various current affairs.
