Chanel is one of Linh’s favorite brands. The handbag she received is a medium-sized, two-tone design made from calfskin leather. According to the brand, the piece is priced at VND316 million (US$12,000) and is part of the Spring-Summer 2026 collection.
The design draws inspiration from lacquered ebony folding screens and incorporates elements associated with Coco Chanel’s design legacy. It features the brand’s signature quilted pattern, combined with patchwork techniques and mixed materials, blending classic and contemporary styles.
According to The Business of Fashionthe bag is among the most sought-after designs currently on the market. Strong demand led to it selling out shortly after launch, and it is no longer listed on Chanel’s official website.
Linh said she had searched for the bag at multiple boutiques without success. Even through sales assistants and luxury retail networks, the item remained difficult to obtain.
She expressed surprise and happiness when her brother-in-law managed to secure the exact model she wanted.
“I’m very happy to receive the bag I’ve been hoping for,” she said.
Linh noted that she shares a close relationship with Vinh, who often accompanies her to events when her husband Do Vinh Quang is busy with work. She described her brother-in-law as both an older brother figure and a source of guidance in her personal and professional life. The two also exchange gifts on occasions such as birthdays, Lunar New Year, and important family events.
