In a video documenting her life as an international student, the 23-year-old beauty queen said she sent her résumé to numerous employers in search of part-time work, including fashion outlets at shopping malls and well-known cosmetics brands’ stores at airports. She was invited to interviews by a fashion brand and by the Dior beauty store at Sydney Airport, where she later passed the interview process and was hired as a part-time sales assistant.

Before joining Dior, Nhi had worked part time at a footwear store. She said these roles allowed her to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, gain new skills and improve her communication abilities, helping her become more adaptable and confident.

The beauty queen added that since arriving in Australia, she has actively sought part-time employment to build experience for future business plans, while choosing flexible roles to ensure her studies were not affected.

At an event in November, Pham Kim Dung, chief executive of Sen Vang Entertainment, the rights holder of Miss World Vietnam, said she was proud of Nhi’s part-time work. Dung noted that Nhi’s sales performance at Dior had been strong and that the brand had rewarded her with gifts as encouragement.

In Australia, Nhi leads an active student life. In addition to attending classes and working part time, she occasionally takes part in fashion photo shoots and public events. She also regularly shares videos about her experiences as an international student. During school breaks or on important occasions, she returns to Vietnam to carry out her beauty queen duties.

In May, Nhi deferred one academic term to compete in the Miss World 2025 pageant, where she finished in the top 40.

Born in Gia Lai Province, Nhi is enrolled in a business administration program jointly run by the International University under Vietnam National University–Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Sydney. She has completed two of four semesters in Australia and is expected to graduate in 2026.
