Mithun Chakraborty’s open challenge to Mamata Banerjee, said – This time BJP government will be formed in Bengal
digital desk- Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and film actor Mithun Chakraborty has strongly attacked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. While talking to media during Siliguri tour, Mithun Chakraborty gave a strong reaction to Mamata Banerjee’s alleged statement regarding Union Home Minister Amit Shah and claimed that BJP government will be formed in West Bengal in the upcoming assembly elections. Mithun Chakraborty said that Mamata Banerjee’s threat to Home Minister Amit Shah is very serious. He said in a sarcastic tone, “If you have to give a threat, then give it completely. Say openly that you will not allow Amit Shah to enter West Bengal, then see what happens.” Mithun further said that such statements are just political gimmicks and will have no impact.
People of Bengal are in the mood for change – Mithun Chakraborty
The BJP leader said in clear words that this time the people of West Bengal are in a mood for change. He claimed, “We will definitely form the government in Bengal this time. The public has now understood everything. The politics of fear and threats cannot continue for long.” Mithun Chakraborty indirectly targeted the Trinamool Congress government and said that people in the state are troubled by issues like law and order, unemployment and corruption. He said that efforts are being made to suppress democracy in Bengal, but BJP workers and common people are not afraid.
Comments made on Home Minister condemned
Speaking to the media in Siliguri, Mithun Chakraborty also said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah holds a constitutional post and the use of such language against him is condemnable. He said that the only people who suffer from the politics of confrontation between the Center and the state are the people. The BJP leader expressed confidence that there will be a big change in the politics of Bengal in the coming times. He said that the BJP organization has become strong at the grassroots level and the party is going among the people with the issues of development, security and good governance in the state.
