MLA Brahma Shankar Jimpa along with officials took stock of the traffic arrangements on Mata Chintpurni Marg.

Hoshiarpur- Keeping in mind the Mata Chintpurni fairs and festivals in the coming days, to further improve the safety of the devotees and the traffic system, MLA Brahma Shankar Jimpa today visited the Chintpurni main road along with the officials and took stock of the traffic system. MLA Jimpa directed the National Highway Authority officials to immediately fix all the technical deficiencies and accident-prone spots on the road. He clearly said that matters related to public safety should be taken seriously and necessary action should be taken immediately. MLA Jimpa said that after the last ambulance accident near Manguwal Naka, many works are going to be done which should be done on top priority so that the traffic remains easy for the passengers, especially the devotees.

Apart from this, he directed to remove the debris lying on the roadside as soon as possible and said that people should not face any kind of problem. He said that NHAI officials should resolve all these issues as soon as possible in a time bound manner. He said that giving priority to the public interest, the Punjab Government has renovated the road from Adampur to Chauhal at a cost of about Rs 14.25 crore, so that thousands of employees working in local industries and the general public can get better transportation facilities.

MLA Brahma Shankar Jimpa said that all black spots and other deficiencies should be removed before the Mata Chintpurni fairs. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rakesh Kumar Meena, SDM Parampreet Singh, Cooperative Bank Chairman Vikram Sharma, Councilor Surinder Kumar, Councilor Praveen Saini and AXION National Highway Rajinder Kumar were also present.
