UP News: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is very serious about employment generation. Positive results of which are also being seen. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme i.e. MNREGA has become the biggest source of employment in the Yogi government. Due to which, so far in the current financial year i.e. 2025-26, more than 48 lakh families have got employment through this scheme. Which has helped in increasing the rural economy.
Not only this, the initiatives of Yogi government are also doing excellent work in the direction of social inclusion and equal opportunities. In fact, out of these 48 lakh families, more than 31 percent families come from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. This figure is doing important work towards empowering even the weakest sections of the rural areas. Which also shows the priority of Yogi government.
Payments are being made on time, confidence of workers is increasing
Not only this, people have not only got employment through this scheme, but the Yogi government has given priority to the interests of the workers and has also made the payment process transparent. More than 97 percent workers have been paid on time under MNREGA in the financial year 2025-26. Not only this, due to this reliability and transparency of payment, the trust of the people of rural areas has also increased in this scheme. Due to which the workers are getting full payment for their hard work and are also getting paid on time.
Rural economy got strength from MNREGA
Under MNREGA, Yogi government has paid Rs 6703 crore so far this year. Due to which rural families have got economic benefits and the development of infrastructure in villages has also gained momentum. This scheme has also created new sources of income in rural areas. This investment has also strengthened the rural economy of Uttar Pradesh.

Special attention on Scheduled Castes and Tribes
Along with this, this initiative of Yogi government also points towards paying special attention to SC-ST category. This is the reason why Yogi government is giving special priority to Scheduled Caste and Tribe families in MNREGA. Due to which the economic condition of these communities has also strengthened.
