Mobile charger becomes a danger! One mistake can cause a strong electric shock

In today’s era, mobile phone is not just a gadget but has become the basis of everyday work. From calling to banking and online payments, every activity depends on it. But the charger that keeps this smart device running can sometimes become a cause of serious danger. Experts warn that some simple mistakes made during charging can result in serious accidents, the most common of which are electrocution, fire and device failure.

The biggest risk comes from using the wrong charger. Safety standards are not followed in fake or local chargers. They lack proper insulation, temperature control, and over-voltage protection. When such chargers are used, the wire heats up quickly and in case of overload, the risk of the charger bursting or spreading current increases. In many cases, it has been seen that due to fake charger, the battery of the phone swells or there are cases of sparking in the charging port.

Another serious mistake is to plug in or remove the charger with wet hands. Mobile chargers may look small, but they supply up to 220 volts. Wet hands become conductors of electricity, which can cause electric shock ranging from mild to severe. Experts say that many domestic accidents happen due to this negligence.

Apart from this, keeping the mobile charger on the bed, sofa or cushion is also a big danger. Both the charger and the phone get hot during charging. Soft surfaces do not allow heat to escape, increasing the problem of overheating. This situation can cause a chemical reaction in the phone’s battery, which increases the possibility of a blast. Many incidents of such accidents occur due to leaving the phone charging at night.

Another common but dangerous mistake is using the phone while charging, especially for playing games or watching videos. This results in double loading of both the charger and the battery. When current is flowing in and the phone is expending energy outside, there is additional strain on the battery. Many experts believe that current leakage occurs maximum in this situation.

Using cheap and uncertified extension boards while charging the phone also increases the risk. Poor quality multiplug or overloaded extension boards can easily cause a short-circuit. This becomes a threat not only to the phone but also to the wiring of the entire house.

So what is the solution?

Always buy genuine and certified chargers.

Do not touch the charger with wet hands.

Do not place the phone on the bed or pillow while charging.

Do not leave your phone charging overnight.

Do not use the phone excessively while charging.

Stop using damaged wires or loose sockets immediately.
