MobLand Season 2: latest release speculation, cast details and storyline hints

The second season of MobLand is officially happening. The show is in post-production now and is slated for a release in 2026 on Paramount+, although there’s no precisely scheduled air date at this point.

British crime drama, created by Ronan Bennett and produced with Guy Ritchie, stars Tom Hardy as fixer Harry Da Souza. Mobland was an absolutely massive success on Paramount+, after season one premiered in late March/early April 2025 (with weeks of new episodes through to early June 2025). Mobland’s enormous viewership (over 26 million views mentioned in renewal reports) resulted in a renewal order on June 23, 2025.

MobLand Season 2: latest release speculation

As of April 2026, there has still been no official date announced for this show to premiere. Filming began in the fall (October/November timeframe) of 2025 and wrapped up in March 2026; filming occurred both on location in London and in other locations such as Mallorca, Spain. Many actors (Emmett J. Scanlan, Paul, Alex Fine, etc.) confirmed via social media the end of filming (everyone mentioned that the shoot lasted approximately 6 months), and many outdid themselves at the wrap party.

The first season of the series turned around quite quickly (filming from November 2024 through March 2025, followed by a premiere shortly thereafter), and a similar schedule could see this series premiere in mid-to-late 2026 (likely the summer or fall). However, the normal post-production time for a show is generally between 6 and 9+ months before the release date. Additionally, the ads for Paramount+ featuring Helen Mirren have included this series in their promotions for shows they are bringing back in 2026.

Fan and Industry speculation as to when this series will premiere has ranged from March-May 2026 (optimistically due to the speed of production for the first season), to late 2026 – early 2027. We will likely see trailers and/or first look images very soon for this series!

MobLand Season 2: storyline hints

At this point, there are no official plot details available for Season Two as of yet. The only information that has been released so far by Paramount+ is that it will continue immediately after the bloody conclusion of Season One.

As far as the major plot points are concerned in the last episode of Season One, the following events will take place:

  • The showdown between the Harrigans and the Stevenson gang ends with the Stevensons being killed off and eliminated from the power structure of the area (most notably, Richie and many others).
  • The internal strife within the Harrigan family reaches a boiling point where there are power struggles, betrayals, and shocking revelations (like Eddie’s parentage), and the changing of allegiances. Kevin becomes “the new monster”.
  • There are some cliffhangers leading into Season Two: Harry has been stabbed in the chest by Jan during an argument (he is still smiling) and will have many of the same issues that he has now, with new threats presented by Kat McAllister and her organized crime network around the world, and of course, Colin Tattersall.

In addition to all of the previous major themes, there will also be several global organized crime connections to drugs and weapons, as well as the connection to organized crime in Europe, Africa, South America, etc.

Some additional continuing themes of Season Two will see more ties to international organized crime, family betrayal, power struggles within the Harrigan family, and new and elevated levels of conflict with Kat and all involved. According to the cast, expect this season to be fast-paced, ambitious, with much higher stakes, more blood, and more betrayal. The visual presentation of the show is a mix of hard-hitting, dark humor, and gritty action with the story and aesthetic of a Guy Ritchie crime saga.

Continue to keep an eye on Paramount+ for more information regarding announcements, trailers, or teasers, as post-production continues. Expect the release of Season Two soon, keep following, and continue to push the boundaries of live-action television.
