Model Muzammil Ibrahim clarifies viral comments about past relationship with Deepika Padukone

Model and actor Muzammil Ibrahim has issued a clarification after an old interview in which he claimed that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had once proposed to him resurfaced and went viral on social media.

The interview, originally given to popular host Siddharth Kannan, recently gained renewed attention after clips from the conversation began circulating online. In the interview, Muzammil spoke about his past association with Deepika and made several comments about their reported relationship, which attracted significant reactions from internet users.

In the viral video clip, Muzammil can be heard saying that Deepika was the one who approached him first. He claimed that she had proposed to him, but that he later ended the relationship. He also said that he had no regrets about leaving anyone behind in his personal life.

Following the reaction, Muzammil Ibrahim shared a clarification on his Instagram account, explaining that the interview being described by some media outlets as a “new revelation” was actually recorded about a year ago.

He stated that the original context and the respect with which the conversation took place had been removed during the editing and circulation of short video clips.

Muzammil said that his comments were being misunderstood because portions of the interview were being shared separately without the full discussion. He emphasized that he has always respected Deepika Padukone and that his intention was never to create controversy or disrespect her.

In his statement, the actor maintained that he appreciates Deepika’s achievements and has always acknowledged her success in the entertainment industry. He added that he is currently focused on his own career, personal growth, and future projects.

The clarification came after the viral clip generated considerable attention on social media, where discussions about celebrity relationships and past interviews often resurface years later.
