JPC President Jangdabika Pal presented a proposal in the House on the demand of extension of time by the committee members in the JPC meeting. By passing which the tenure of the committee has been extended. Due to the uproar, the proceedings of the House were adjourned. Even on the fourth day of the winter session of the Lok Sabha, the proceedings of the House were marred by uproar. Even today the discussion could not be completed in the House.

The committee formed on the Waqf Amendment Bill was to present its report tomorrow i.e. on 29th November, the last day of the first week of the winter session. But the opposition MPs and many members included in the committee suggested in the JPC meeting that the stakeholders of many states have still not answered the questions of the committee and discussions are yet to be held with many stakeholders. On which committee chairman Jagdambika Pal brought a proposal in the House today on which the House has extended the tenure of the committee till the last day of the budget session. The committee will now present its report on the last day of the budget session. Along with this, it has also become clear that the Waqf Amendment Bill will not be brought in this session.
