Big gift from Modi government, now central employees will be able to travel in Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains under LTC.

New Delhi. The Central Government has given a big gift to its employees. Now central employees will also be able to travel by Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains under Leave Travel Concession (LTC). This step has been taken after the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) received several suggestions from various offices/individuals regarding the admissibility of various premium trains under LTC.

In the order issued on Tuesday, DoPT said that the department looked into the matter in consultation with the Department of Expenditure and took this decision. According to this decision, in addition to the existing Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, now Tejas Express, Vande Bharat Express and Humsafar Express trains will be run under LTC as per the eligibility of government employees. Travel will be allowed. Eligible Central Government employees availing LTC get back the expenditure incurred by them on tickets for journeys, in addition to paid leave.
