Modi said that Assam is now on the path of rapid development and it will be made stronger in the times to come. He reiterated the vision of “Developed Assam” and “Self-reliant India”. According to him, the last decade was spent in ending fear and instability, now the next decade will be about taking development and identity to the global level. “This time it is only a matter of development”.

Congress cornered on farmers’ issue

Referring to the farmers, PM Modi said that before 2014, the Congress government gave ₹4 lakh crore MSP to paddy farmers, whereas his government gave ₹16 lakh crore. He also mentioned the increase in MSP—from ₹1300 to ₹2370 per quintal. “If the farmer is happy then the country is strong”.

Women’s reservation and big announcement
