New Delhi: Many political signals emerged from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address regarding West Bengal. Referring to Bihar’s election message, he said the time has come for Bengal to free itself from what he described as “Mahajungle Raj”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal. Addressing a huge public meeting at Taherpur in Nadia district, he accused the ruling party of maladministration and giving protection to criminals. Due to dense fog, Modi could not reach the rally venue and addressed the people through phone from Kolkata.
Weather hampered, but strong political message
Later, Modi posted on social media platform X that he could not attend the rally personally due to bad weather. He said that he wanted to raise many important issues, but due to the circumstances he had to return from Kolkata Airport itself. Despite this, his message to the people of West Bengal remained clear and firm.
Emphasis on cultural heritage of Nadia
The Prime Minister underlined Nadia’s deep identity with Indian culture and spirituality. He said that this land is associated with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and has a long tradition of service. Modi said it is a privilege to work for the development of Nadia and entire West Bengal, especially for the brothers and sisters of the Matua community, who reflect the values of service and respect.
Welfare claims of BJP government
Modi said that his government is working day and night to empower the people of West Bengal. He said that more than 52 lakh houses have been approved, so that families can get a roof. More than one crore families have benefited from Jal Jeevan Mission. He claimed that when BJP government is formed in West Bengal, the pace of development will increase further. More than 13 thousand Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and more than 750 Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been established for affordable health services.
Message of “Bihar rejected Jungle Raj”
Making the comparison, Modi said that Bihar has proved time and again that the people there do not want the return of jungle raj. He claimed that West Bengal is currently facing “Mahajungle Raj” because of Trinamool Congress. According to him, the state now needs freedom from this system.
Serious allegations against TMC
On X, Modi accused Trinamool Congress of only doing politics of cut and commission. He said that development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees related to housing, health, food security and education are stalled due to the non-cooperative attitude of the party. Modi questioned why the development of Bengal should have to pay the price of political opposition to him.
Issue of women safety and social concerns
The Prime Minister said that the condition of women in West Bengal is very painful. He added that the football-loving state has faced embarrassment due to recent incidents. According to Modi, these incidents have broken the hearts of young sports lovers and exposed the failures of governance.

Modi alleged that Trinamool Congress is trying with all its might to save the infiltrators. He claimed that these infiltrators loot the poor, spread fear, create anarchy and commit crimes against women. Modi assured that if BJP government is formed, strict action will be taken against illegal infiltration.
Assurance to Matua and Namasudra community
The Prime Minister assured continued support to the Matua and Namasudra families. He said that these communities are not at the mercy of Trinamool Congress and they have every right to live with dignity in India. Referring to the Citizenship Amendment Act, Modi assured that after the formation of the BJP government in West Bengal, more concrete steps will be taken for these communities.
