Modi said in The Hague – If the situation does not improve, the world will have to face serious consequences.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Indian community in The Hague, Netherlands, said many important things regarding the global situation, India’s progress and the changing world. In The Hague, known worldwide as the ‘City of Peace’, PM Modi said that the present time has become a ‘decade of disasters’ for the world and if the situation does not improve, its impact will be felt for decades to come.
These days, Prime Minister Modi is on a tour of five countries and reached Netherlands on Saturday. In his address, he also mentioned India’s achievements, technological development, startup ecosystem and growing strength on the global stage. Praising the Indian community, he said that times have changed, but Indian values and culture are still alive in the hearts of people.
Decade of disasters for the world
PM Modi said, ‘This decade has become a decade of disasters for the world. If the situation does not improve, it may prove costly for decades.
He stressed the need for peace and stability amid global challenges. PM Modi said that the world is changing rapidly and in such times there is a need for countries to move forward together.
Mentioned India’s achievements
The Prime Minister said that today’s India is dreaming big and is also fulfilling them. He said that India created history by reaching a place on the Moon where no other country in the world could reach before.
He said that India is progressing rapidly in the field of technology and innovation.
Focus on semiconductor and startup sector
PM Modi said that currently work is going on on 12 semiconductor plants in India, out of which production has started in two.
He also said that the country is running the world’s largest government health insurance scheme. Apart from this, more than two lakh startups are active in India and India has also made a big achievement in the field of UPI transactions.
Indian culture was also mentioned
Prime Minister Modi said that whenever he talked to the leaders of Netherlands, he always praised the Indian community. He said, ‘Times changed, but values and belongingness did not change.’
Along with this, PM Modi, while referring to the cultural identity of India and Netherlands, said that just as Netherlands is famous for tulips, similarly India is known for lotus.
