Modi to inaugurate historical exhibition of sacred Piprava relics on January 3
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on January 3 historical Will inaugurate the special exhibition of sacred Piprahwa Relics (Piprahwa Relics India) organized at the site. These remains were discovered in the second half of the 19th century and are believed to be associated with the mortal remains of Lord Buddha. He was enshrined by the Shakya dynasty after his Parinirvana.
The Ministry of Culture said that this exhibition is being organized under the title of ‘Lotus Light: Relics of the Awakened One’. In the exhibition, ancient Buddhist heritages related to Piprava remains will also be available to the visitors.
According to officials, the exhibition not only highlights the teachings of Lord Buddha and his civilizational impact on India, but also highlights the government’s commitment towards the preservation and presentation of the country’s rich spiritual heritage.
