Modi-UAE talks: Middle East crisis discussed with Eid greetings, India calls rumors baseless
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on phone and wished him Eid in advance. During this, the ongoing tension and situation in the Middle East was also discussed in detail between the two leaders. PM Modi said India strongly condemns the attacks on UAE, which resulted in loss of innocent lives and damage to infrastructure. He made it clear that it is very important to restore peace, security and stability in the region. Along with this, both the countries also agreed to ensure safe and uninterrupted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. PM Modi assured that India will continue to work with UAE in this direction.
India called the rumors fake
At the same time, the Indian government has completely rejected the news in which it was being claimed that Iran has set some conditions in exchange for giving safe passage to Indian ships through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the government, no such conversation ever took place. The government also said that India is in touch with Iran so that Indian ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz can reach their destination safely. Recently, two Indian flagged LPG ships ‘Shivalik’ and ‘Nanda Devi’ have safely passed this route carrying around 92,712 metric tonnes of LPG.
