He believes that KKR team should groom Rinku Singh as its future captain.

Kaif further said that even though Rinku does not play Test format at the international level, he is a player who plays in all three formats. Like him, I am also from UP and I have seen him playing closely. Because of the runs scored by him, teams have won many times. He has commanded the UP team in every format. Rinku is completely ready to take over as captain.

Kaif continued his point and said that the team management should add Rinku to the leadership group this season. This left-handed batsman is so mentally strong that he can handle the burden of captaincy and batting simultaneously. According to me, KKR should declare the captain or vice-captain of the team in the middle of the season. This will be a long term investment for KKR.

It is noteworthy that in IPL 2026, Rahane will once again be seen commanding the Kolkata team. Under his leadership, the team will start its campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 29.
