Mohammad Nabi’s magical 4/7 performance, created history during T20 World Cup at the age of 41

New Delhi. Afghanistan’s experienced player Mohammad Nabi gave such a performance against Canada in the T20 World Cup 2026 that it will be remembered in the history of cricket. Nabi took four wickets while conceding only 7 runs in his quota of 4 overs and helped Afghanistan restrict Canada to 118 runs. Thanks to his performance, Afghanistan won by 82 runs and achieved its first win in the tournament.

By doing this feat at the age of 41 years and 49 days, Nabi made the record of the oldest player to take 4 wickets in both ODI and T20 World Cup.




  • In Afghanistan’s innings, Ibrahim Zadran played an unbeaten half-century of 95 runs, while Mohammad Nabi’s bowling played a decisive role in defeating the Canadian team. The Canadian team could not register any win in the tournament, while this was Afghanistan’s second win.

    Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan team had earlier played a ‘Double Super Over’ against South Africa, however, they faced defeat. But in this match played between the two teams which were out of the tournament, Afghanistan won by a big margin on the basis of excellent batting and magical bowling of Mohammad Nabi.
