Pakistan gets ODI-T20 captain, Mohammad Rizwan will sit on Babar's throne

Sports Desk, Obnews: Pakistan Cricket Board had announced the team for the tour of Australia and Zimbabwe on Sunday itself. After which now PCB has made a big announcement. PCB has announced the name of the captain of Pakistan's white-ball cricket. Pakistan's command in ODI and T20 will now be in the hands of the team's star wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who will take over from the tour of Australia and Zimbabwe. He is going to replace Babar Azam.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced the name of Mohammad Rizwan in a press conference. He said, “We talked to mentors. After talking to the coaching staff and the team, Mohammad Rizwan's name came up. Everyone has expressed confidence in Rizwan. Salman Aga will be the vice-captain of the team.

Rizwan is going to make his first tour of Australia as captain. A series of three ODI and three T20 matches is to be played between Australia and Pakistan. This series is going to start in Melbourne on 4th November. After this, the second match is going to be held in Adelaide on 8th November and the third match is going to be held in Perth on 10th November. Whereas the T20 series is going to start from 14th November, which will continue till 18th November.

For your information, let us tell you that Babar Azam has been going through bad form for the past few days. Because of which he also resigned from the captaincy. He believes that he is resigning to focus on his batting. Under his captaincy, Pakistan had to face a crushing defeat in the ODI World Cup. After which the team did not do anything special in the T20 World Cup.

Let us tell you that Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi were dropped from the second and third Test against England. The Pakistan Board had taken this decision due to his poor form. After which now the board has included these three players in the Australia tour, but has left them out of the Zimbabwe tour.
