Nobel Peace Prize winner Nargis Mohammadi : Nobel Peace Prize winner Nargis Mohammadi has again been sentenced to 6 months in jail in Iran. Iranian authorities have sentenced jailed Nobel Peace Prize winner Nargis Mohammadi to six more months in prison. According to reports, 'Free Nargis Coalition' ('Free Nargis Coalition') said in a statement issued on Thursday that Mohammadi was sentenced to an additional six months of imprisonment on October 19 on charges of 'disobedience and resistance to orders'.

According to reports, Mohammadi was charged after she protested against the execution of another political prisoner in the women's ward of Evin prison on August 6. Mohammadi is the 19th woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize and the second Iranian woman after human rights activist Shirin Ebadi in 2003.
