Mohammed Shami will create a stir in the ODI series against England; Hope to play in Champions Trophy
Mohammed Shami News: The Indian team may be announced soon for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against England. In which a squad full of young players can be announced under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav for the T20I matches, while in the ODI series, many veterans including Mohammed Shami are likely to return to the team.

Actually, the return of Mohammed Shami, who has been away from international cricket since the World Cup 2023 final, is awaited. Shami had played the ICC tournament with an injury and later underwent surgery, but even after the surgery, problems remained with his fitness. Due to which he did not get a chance even in the Border Gavaskar Test series.
However, if many media reports are to be believed, Mohammed Shami may return to the Indian team in the ODI series against England. Where his good performance can secure his place in the Champions Trophy 2025. Amidst the suspense over Jasprit Bumrah's availability, Shami's return may prove to be some relief to the team.
According to the Cricbuzz report, the medical team of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) is keeping a close eye on Shami. After the surgery, there was slight swelling in his knee, due to which he was unable to fly to Australia for the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Mohammed Shami is playing for Bengal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and is set to play in the pre-quarterfinals against Haryana on Thursday. According to the report, at least one physio or trainer from NCA has accompanied Shami. The BCCI selectors are expected to attend the Vijay Hazare Trophy knockout matches in Baroda and also pay attention to Shami's performance.

It is also being said that there has been no significant impact on Mohammed Shami's bowling and there is no major problem in his knee. However, he will need the green signal from the NCA to return to the Indian team. Apart from Shami, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is also waiting for the NCA report. Bumrah suffered a back injury during the last Test in Sydney.
