News India Live, Digital Desk: Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat Sunday, 22 February 2026 Addressed a huge volunteer gathering organized in Meerut. In his address, he said many important things regarding Hindutva, nationalism and internal security of the country. Bhagwat clarified that the basic nature of Hindu society is to take everyone along, but in the present time there is a need to be alert from the forces that are weakening the country from within.

1. New definition of Hindutva: “One who unites is a Hindu”

Explaining the word ‘Hindu’, Mohan Bhagwat said that it is not the name of any worship method or sect.

Unity formula: He said, “Being a Hindu means uniting. The one who takes everyone along and creates a sense of unity in the society is a true Hindu.”

Unity in Diversity: Bhagwat stressed that our culture has never considered anyone different, but has given priority to nation building by accepting diversity.

2. Warning to be alert from forces that break the country

During the address, the Sarsanghchalak also threw light on the internal challenges of the country. He cautioned the volunteers and society, saying:

Conspiracy to spread confusion: There are some forces which are trying to divide the society in the name of caste, language and creed.

Watch Society: “The forces trying to break the country are active. They want to build walls between us. The Hindu society will have to unite and counter such disruptive forces.”

3. Special things about Meerut Samagam

Thousands of volunteers from Western Uttar Pradesh participated in this program in Meerut.

Display of Discipline: During the programme, the volunteers displayed discipline and physical efficiency in full uniform.

Social Harmony: Emphasizing on social harmony, Bhagwat said that there should be no place for untouchability and discrimination in Hindu society.

4. Roadmap to the future: ‘Punch change’

Bhagwat reiterated the mantra of ‘Panch Parivartan’ as the centenary of the Sangh approaches:

indigenous: Promoting local products and self-reliance.

Family Enlightenment: Strengthening family values.

Environment: Water conservation and plastic free India.

Civic duty: To fulfill one’s responsibility towards the society.

Harmony: To eliminate the feeling of high and low.
