Saiyaara Is Copied: Mohit Suri’s film ‘Sayara’, released in the year 2025, was a superhit at the box office. Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda were seen in this film. Now the story of the film is being accused of being copied from a short film on YouTube. The story of Amit Jadhav’s short film ‘Khwabon’, which came on YouTube in 2019, is very similar to Saiyara. Saiyara was accused of copying

While talking to HT City, Amit Jadhav said that ‘I had tried to say this last year also. Actually, in the year 2022, there was a direct on Instagram from YRF Talent, that they wanted to contact me. I asked him about which project he wanted to talk to me. He did not give any answer on this. I didn’t know anyone there. Nor had I ever given any audition for which he would try to contact me. A week after the release of Saiyara, my friends called me and said – Yours was the same story. I was surprised. I tried to contact him again. I even went to his office. But my friends said that they would not listen to me or give any answer.

Amit was in depression

Last year too, news of Saira’s story being copied had come to light. However, its story was then related to a 2004 Korean film ‘A Moment to Remember’. Now Amit says that he even went into depression to convert his short film into a feature film. He said, ‘I am a singer, so I kept getting work, which made me a little relaxed. But one day I almost committed suicide. I was drunk at that time. My parents saw me. In this way my life was saved. I felt as if the world did not want me to succeed. I was not called for any audition.

No response received from Yash Raj Films

Amit further told that I had also found producers. We were going to shoot in the year 2025, but then Saiyara happened. Everything went wrong. But in the year 2019, I did not register the story. Because it was a short film. Amit alleges that after the film he tried to contact Yash Raj Films. He told that I had written in the email that I had received an email from him in the year 2022 also. Sayara’s story is similar to mine. I emailed twice, but received no response. Now I just want to get some credit. Or maybe get a role in some project.
