Mohra finale shakes viewers: tears, redemption and powerful goodbye

The popular Geo TV drama Mohra reached a heartfelt conclusion with its 75th and final episode, which aired on Sunday, drawing strong emotional responses from audiences across South Asia. The long-running serial had built a loyal following due to its powerful storytelling and relatable social themes.

Produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, Mohra was directed by Mohsin Mirza and written by Tahir Nazeer. The drama featured a strong ensemble cast including Laiba Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Aagha Ali, and Syeda Tuba Anwar, each playing a key role in shaping the narrative.

At its core, Mohra explored how ego, greed, and pride can blur the line between right and wrong. The drama highlighted how one selfish or impulsive decision can deeply affect multiple lives—especially those of innocent people.

Alizay, portrayed by Laiba Khan, emerged as the emotional backbone of the story. A confident and intelligent young woman from a lower-middle-class background, she lives with her mother and sister Anooshay. Despite hardships, Alizay remains content and emotionally resilient, sharing a deep bond with her family.

In contrast stands the Hamdani family, led by Fareed Hamdani and his wife Armeen. While Fareed and his son Hamza are shown as compassionate and grounded, Armeen’s pride influences her children Sikandar and Nimra, creating rifts within the family and driving much of the conflict in the story.

The concluding episode focused on forgiveness, accountability, and emotional healing. Alizay chooses to forgive Sikandar and her mother-in-law, putting an end to long-standing bitterness. Sikandar finally acknowledges his mistakes and seeks forgiveness at Anooshay’s grave, marking a turning point in his character.

In a powerful moment of independence, Alizay signs documents transferring property, symbolizing her strength and self-respect. A time leap at the end shows her living a peaceful life with her husband and two children, offering viewers a sense of closure and hope.

The finale was widely praised for its emotional depth and satisfying resolution. Fans across Pakistan and India lauded the drama’s message of trust, forgiveness, and personal growth, with many viewers calling for more serials rooted in meaningful social storytelling.

While Mohra is officially available to US audiences, viewers in India can access the final episode by using a US-based VPN to watch it on the official Har Pal Geo platform.
