Mohsin Khan showed his strength against DC, returned after two years and took the wicket on the third ball itself.
Mohsin Khan Wicket IPL 2026: In IPL 2026, left arm fast bowler Mohsin Khan returned to the cricket field in spectacular style. Due to knee injury, he could not play a single match in IPL 2025. Despite this, Lucknow Super Giants expressed confidence in him and retained him for Rs 4 crore before the mega auction. This was the first time after 2024 that Mohsin took the field in professional cricket.
Shock in the first over itself
Mohsin Khan made his comeback memorable by taking a wicket in the very first over. He dismissed Delhi Capitals batsman Nitish Rana. The ball took the edge of Rana’s bat and went in the direction of slip. Abdul Samad standing there could not catch the ball in the first attempt, but in the second attempt he caught the ball brilliantly.
Nitish Rana scored 15 runs in 17 balls. The special thing was that Mohsin did not give any runs in his first over and it was also the first maiden over of IPL 2026.
A look at IPL career
Mohsin Khan’s IPL career has also been interesting. He was a part of the Mumbai team in the initial period, but he did not get a chance to play. In the year 2022, Lucknow Super Giants bought him and in the same season he proved his talent.
In 9 matches played in 2022, Mohsin took 14 wickets and his economy was also less than 6. After this injuries affected his career. He could play only 5 matches in 2023 and 10 matches in 2024.
Lucknow’s batting remained weak
Talking about the match, the batting of Lucknow Super Giants was not as expected. The team could score only 141 runs while batting first at its home ground Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. On behalf of the team, Abdul Samad scored the highest score of 36 runs, while Mitchell Marsh contributed 35 runs. The rest of the batsmen failed to play big innings.

Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be right. On behalf of the team, T Natarajan and Lungi Ngidi bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets each. The return of Mohsin Khan has definitely given hope to Lucknow, but the team will need to perform better in the future.
